The Roommate Review 2011:Psycho-Sexual Obsession Between Two Students
Romeo And Juliet Script By William Shakespeare: Kelly Asbury New Movie
"My producer Baker Bloodworth, said:" Look, there's a movie here, we want you to be straight. It's "Romeo and Juliet", and went into the animation? "We say and use modern garden gnomes. It's called" Gnomeo and Juliet. ... We want to use the classic and new songs by Elton John and Bernie Taupin. Now you can do whatever you want with this mixture. He said: "garden gnomes, Shakespeare and Sir Elton John. Click OK, this is a challenge for a narrator who, along with shooting." It took about five years, but we did. "
Asbury gnomes show in boiling pot red plaster statues of nowhere in the story of lovers star-crossed set in Stratford-upon-Avon. With the vocal talents with James McAvoy and Emily Blunt as Gnomeo and Juliet, as well as Michael Caine, Maggie Smith, Hulk Hogan, Ozzy Osbourne and Dolly Parton, the movie at least answer some trivia questions. Asbury says about an hour alone, I had to write Parton, "I said," Dolly, I need a big "Yee-ha" to you, okay? "And she gave me 10," Yee-tion that I had in my life. "
Explaining that the original script came into the study of John, Rocket Pictures, a few years ago, and rock superstar has been active since the beginning, the director said that some gems from the treasury of songs by John serves as a pointer to the story .
For example: "Well, Saturday night against the" made for "good mourning music" - here the lawnmower race, not fight with swords - and "Rocket Man" is a subject Gnomeo (John and Taupin also contributed with two new songs, including "Hello, hello" sung with Lady Gaga). But how, in general, to one of the most famous tragedies safe for children?
"I realized that obviously could not end like the original," says Asbury. "If you're going to kill her character ... I have not seen this done very successfully in an animated film for children.
Asbury said in a scene where a statue of Shakespeare says Gnomeo original story "was James McAvoy, who (hell-improvised):" It's a horrible end! This makes no sense! He said: "This happens in the movies!"
This meeting with the brass Bard (voiced, of course, Patrick Stewart) is not only Shakespeare's reference. Sharp-eyed fans should watch for signs printed and sharpen the ears of some of the successes of other works, he slipped on the kick.
"My favorite, then we have" Out, damn spot "no", Asbury says, laughing. "At first I said," I can say damn? "Because it's so perfect.
"Many people tell me:" Is it good to do that part of Shakespeare? And I think: "You know," West Side Story "was very cleverly, in a different way. But if you look at the" Bonnie and Clyde "," Titanic, "" Avatar, "" Grease, "" Brokeback Mountain .. . all 'Romeo and Juliet "story. crossed lovers that the destination will not necessarily work to your advantage. is a universal story, this is an archetypal story. So what we are doing" Romeo and Juliet "with garden gnomes , and this is true, to play and I think this book distinction. "
But purists choke on the saliva with the concept? Decades after "West Side Story" and many re-interpretations at a distance of bards, because (see box), turn up their noses, or agree that grew in any other sweet smells GNOME?
"And if not Shakespeare, is open to interpretation similar things have been happening throughout history," We are a different interpretation of this classic material, "says the director.
You're right, of course. Witness David Garrick industries, the key to recovery long after Shakespeare's death, in which Romeo and Juliet survive. In fact, none other than Kenneth Branagh once said, when asked, "How far is too far from taking liberties with Shakespeare:" I know there are not very far, actually. I think it's too bad. If it's bad, you've gone too far. Elasticity of Shakespeare is extraordinary.

Yeh Saali Zindagi Review 2011
Story Of Film
Chitrangada Singh, who has become something of a muse for Mr. Mishra, plays Priya, a singer-musician who finds herself tangled in a love triangle with Arun, played by Irrfan Khan and Shyam, played by actor Vipul Gupta. Then there’s also another girl Shyam is about to marry which jazzes up the classic love-triangle format. In comes the goon (Arunoday Singh) to make the plot racier.Twisted, racy and hugely complicated is the best way to sum up “Yeh Saali Zindagi”. But overall critics said that this would be an incomplete assessment – they seem to agree that the move is also entertaining! The film got an average of three stars from most critics – although some raised the point the film was a tad too long.
